Medical Marijuana and Staff Recruiting.
As of June 1st the company I work for made an announcement that they will no longer test for Marijuana (THC) as part of our pre-hire drug testing.
With significant legislative changes in over 25+ US States, external benchmarking with other large banks and competitors and our own internal data analysis, we have concluded this is an appropriate and sensible change.
Drug Testing is still a part of the Background check process in the US, but the packages are being updated so that labs are no longer testing for THC but will continue to test for all other illegal substances as they do today. The Company is required to maintain a drug free workplace based on federal guidelines and will continue all current policies related to drug & alcohol use while working.
