National nursing organizations

Each year, national nursing organizations and local chapters host conferences and continuing education opportunities. Often, a theme is associated with the event. Recent themes have included “It Matters,” “Guided by Why,” and “Ignite, Empower, Transform.” As you begin your journey to an advanced degree in nursing (master of science in nursing), what is your theme? In no more than 4 typed, double-spaced pages, share your theme with the admission committee, and discuss the experiences and personal passions that led you to the theme. Theme: Rooted in Strength Idea Behind It: Nurses were born from Florence Nightingale, the found of modern nursing. She had to be one of the strongest individuals to do the work of nursing during the wars and because of her nurses all around the world are rooted in strength and come together during the most stressful times of our lives (covid-19 being 1 of them). It takes strong people to become nurses and we do it together.
