Reflection on Professional and Academic Goals My professional and academic goals are to become a nurse leader who is able to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of my patients and communities. I believe that the information in the Walden University mission and vision statements, the College of Nursing mission and vision statements, the Walden University goals and university outcomes, and the MSN Program Learning Outcomes fit well with my own goals. I am particularly interested in the Walden University goal of being a leader in online education. I believe that online education has the potential to reach a wider audience and to provide students with more flexibility and convenience. I also believe that online education can be a powerful tool for social change. The MSN Program Learning Outcomes are also aligned with my goals. I am particularly interested in the outcome that requires students to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage in complex healthcare environments. I believe that this is an essential skill for nurse leaders in today's healthcare landscape. I am confident that the Walden University MSN Program will provide me with the knowledge and skills I need to achieve my professional and academic goals. Becoming a Scholar-Practitioner I believe that becoming a scholar-practitioner is essential for nurse leaders. I plan to continue my education after I graduate from the Walden University MSN Program. I also plan to stay up-to-date on the latest research in nursing and to share my knowledge with my colleagues.
