Western literary tradition. After the Renaissance-era, writers such as John Milton
explored psychological aspects of the characters in their works, even as they still used
Biblical characters, such as God, Satan, Adam, and Eve. Briefly discusses the character
of Satan and how he is represented in Book I. Does he come across as a villain or a
