Nuclear Medicine: Brain Scintigraphy

Nuclear Medicine: Brain Scintigraphy

Order Description

compare the use of radiopharmaceutical used in brain death imaging in nuclear medicine. The focus is on radiopharmaceutical that cross the blood brain barrier such as
Tc-99m HMPAO and Tc-99m EDC vs. Tc-99m DTPA and Tc-99m Pertechnetate. How they are different in terms of physiology and the effect of it on images and how they are
interpreted (i.e. false positive and false negative studies)
