Throughout the course, you will complete a 1- Page Marketing Plan for a product associated with your
current business, a business you hope to create, or one that you are familiar with. As you recall from your
reading, a Marketing Plan is a tool used to lay out the strategy for your marketing activities. The plan you
will be working on is taken from Dib’s book: The 1-Page Marketing Plan so reference it accordingly. The 1-
Page Marketing Plan is a simplified version of a larger marketing plan and is broken down into three
sections. The first is the Before Phase (Prospects), the second is the During Phase (Leads), and the third is
the After Phase (Customers).
For your first assignment, you will use the provided template and complete the first part of your 1-Page
Marketing Plan by filling in the top three squares related to the Before Phase (Prospects). After that, you will
list the top 5 Action Steps for putting the first part of your marketing plan into motion. See the sample 1-
page marketing plans which will provide examples of the type of information that you can put in.

about who your target market is and what they like and don’t like. (your response should be at least 1
paragraph)
In the second box, you will answer the question: What is your Message to your Target Market? In this area,
craft the message that you want to convey to your target audience. Talk about what you have to offer and
