1.) Answer the following prompt in your initial post:
Your readings examine some of the challenges facing convicted offenders (and by extension, society). Assess the primary problems faced by convicts (and more specifically, parolees) and also the secondary consequences these incur for society. How do we balance the rationale(s)/goals of the punishment system in light of what we know (or don’t know) about their effectiveness?

2.) Answer the following prompt in your reply to a peer:
