Analyze the etiology and pathophysiological alterations associated with selected common primary care conditions across the lifespan; Analyze the relationship between normal physiology and pathological phenomena produced by altered states across the life span; Synthesize and apply relevant theories and current research-based knowledge as a basis for explaining pathological changes associated with common conditions; Describe the developmental physiology, normal etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical manifestations of commonly found/seen altered health states; Analyze physiologic responses to illness and treatment modalities; Correlate physiological states to illness prevention strategies; Differentiate the internal and external factors that affect specific physiologic states along the health and illness continuum; Determine the needs of communities and individuals in disaster and emergency settings.
