Police unionism

        Police unionism is controversial. Should police be allowed to unionize? Should they be allowed to affiliate with other labor unions, such as the Teamsters? As workers, how can police officers protect their rights except through unionization? Under what circumstances should police be allowed to go on "strike"? To engage in work slowdowns? To conduct "no confidence" votes against their police chiefs?
