Portrayals of war

Compare and contrast the portrayal of war and its impact as depicted in Cold Mountain, Slaughterhouse-Five, The Things They Carried, The Kiterunner, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, or the Handmaid’s Mle. You should choose to discuss at least one of the texts we have covered since midterm (The Kiterunner, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, or the Handmaid’s Tale).
