PowerPoint presentation with an embedded video/audio narration that identifies how you have (in this course OR in any of your other MPA courses) mastered each of the Student Learning Outcomes.

For this assignment, you will prepare a PowerPoint presentation with an embedded video/audio narration that identifies how you have (in this course OR in any of your other MPA courses) mastered each of the Student Learning Outcomes. This is your opportunity to reflect on what you have learned in the MPA program courses and to tie together the lessons you're taking away with you about the important skills and concepts that all public administrators should be able to demonstrate. Presentation requirements: 1) Your slides should be attractive and should follow basic presentation guidelines as outlined in the Learning Materials for Presentation in the Unit 8 overview. 2) You should have at least thirteen (13) PowerPoint slides. 2) Your first slide should include your name, this course #, and a title for your presentation. In your audio-video narration introduce yourself before moving on to the slides with the learning outcomes. You may include additional slides for your introduction if you would like. 3) The remaining slides should include one for each of the MPA Program Student Learning Outcomes and one from your MPA program emphasis area Student Learning Outcomes. Follow each of the SLO slides with at least one slide that provides a specific example of how you have demonstrated some significant learning related to that outcome in a course in the MPA program. Using bullet points, list the activity you completed, the specific learning from that activity, and the course # and title. (In other words, have the SLO on one slide and then the details about your learning on at least one subsequent slide.) You may include additional slides that elaborate on the learning for each Student Learning Outcome. 4) Your video/audio narration should describe, in your own words, that learning activity and how you think it demonstrates your mastery of the learning outcome. Do not read from the slide or from a prepared narrative. Have as casual (but professional) a conversation with your viewers as you can. You are simply talking to us about your MPA learning! 5) Make sure that in your presentation we can see both the shared screen of the PowerPoint slides AND your face and that we can hear your narration. This is a professional presentation so you should be aware of the lighting, your position in the camera lens, your appearance, etc. Your presentation should last about 10 minutes but not longer than 15 minutes. Grading for this assignment will be based on several criteria: 1) Slides are professionally designed following presentation guidelines 2) Audio/video presentation narration is well organized and can be seen and heard when the slides are also present 3) Followed instructions both for slide content/formatting and for narration. 4) Made reasonable and clear connections between learning outcomes and identified student learning and activities in at least one course in the MPA program for each SLO.
