Project assignment

Your group submitted your first project assignment last week. In your journal this week, reflect on how you felt while creating the assignment. In 2-3 paragraphs, address the following prompts: I AM STILL KIND OF LOST AND TRYING VERY HARD TO PARTICIPATE AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS TO BEST OF YOUR ABILITY...PLEASE AND THANK YOU Did your group give everyone a voice and work toward including everyone? What do you feel worked well? Where do you feel the group could have been more inclusive and collaborative? Along with your response to the prompts above, include the following two pieces of evidence of your engagement with Microsoft Teams and participation in your group: A link to a recorded Teams meeting from Week 3 or 4. A screenshot that shows your participation in a Teams chat with your group from Week 3 or 4.

Project Reflection: Feeling Lost but Finding My Voice

This past week, after submitting our first project assignment, I took some time to reflect on how I felt while working on it with my group. It's true, there were moments, especially at the beginning, where I felt a little lost. This new group dynamic and the project itself were unfamiliar, and I wanted to make sure I was contributing effectively. However, I also felt a strong desire to participate and answer the questions to the best of my ability. So, I dove in, asking clarifying questions and offering my thoughts whenever I felt comfortable.

Looking back, I think there were some aspects of our group collaboration that worked really well. One positive element was that everyone seemed to be given a voice. During our meetings, there were opportunities for everyone to share their ideas, and I felt comfortable expressing my own thoughts even if they differed from what others had suggested. This open atmosphere helped us explore different perspectives and ultimately come up with a well-rounded approach to the project.

However, there's always room for improvement. One area where I think our group could have been more inclusive is by actively soliciting ideas from everyone at the beginning of brainstorming sessions. Sometimes, the conversation flowed quickly between a few members, and I felt hesitant to interrupt. Perhaps implementing a round-robin style discussion at the start of brainstorming sessions could ensure everyone has a chance to contribute their initial thoughts.

By reflecting on these areas, I believe our group can become even more inclusive and collaborative moving forward. I'm looking forward to the next project and feeling more confident in contributing my voice!
