Putin/Russia foreign policy

      Many observers argue that the objective of Putin/Russia foreign policy is to re-create the boundaries of the Soviet Union prior to its dissolution in 1991. Is Russian behaviour with regard to the 'near abroad' consistent with this objective? Provide at least three examples as part of your answer.
