Q.M. is scheduled to have knee replacement surgery in 3 days. He's been waiting to have the surgery for
several months and is hoping that after he recovers he will have better mobility and less pain. About 2
weeks ago he developed a severe stomach virus. He vomited for 3 days and was only about to take liquids or almost a week. He still isn't eating very much and has very little appetite. He doesn't have much energy, but he thinks that won't matter because he won't be very active after surgery anyway.
