Qualitative and Quantitative Research.
Order Description
Student may be more familiar with a quantitative approach to research, but research problems can be explored using either a quantitative approach, a qualitative approach, or both, in a mixed methods approach. The readings assigned for this week compare qualitative research and quantitative research in a number of ways. In this paper, briefly compare qualitative and quantitative research. Be sure to address the difference between the interpretive and the positivist paradigms as well as ontological, epistemological, and methodological differences. Reflecting on your own predilections, do you relate to one paradigm more than the other? Which one and why?
