QUALITY & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & METHODS
Competency 7034.1.1: Evaluating Quality Improvement Programs in an HIM Department – The graduate evaluates quality improvement projects to ensure they comply with both internal organizational processes and applicable standards established by external agencies.
Task 1: Quality Improvement Projects Report
Quality in healthcare can be defined as providing necessary care timely, accurately, and appropriately to achieve the best results. Healthcare organizations strive to provide quality care by using evidence-based medicine in order to save lives in less time. Quality healthcare means different things to different people; however, meeting the needs of the consumer is the main goal of quality care initiatives in any healthcare organization.
Use the attached “Fielder Medical Center Scenario” to complete this task.
Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. Use the Turnitin Originality Report available in Taskstream as a guide for this measure of originality.
You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.
