Research Analysis

    Assess the understanding of a study that uses an explicit/formal framework. The student will evaluate the degree to which the framework informs the rationale and significance of the study and links to the study purpose and/or questions/hypotheses, concepts, and results. The second goal of the critique is to assess the student’s understanding of the appropriateness and interpretation of the statistical analysis, given the study’s empirical indicators (design, measurement instruments, and level of measurement of the data). Explicit framework can be from nursing or borrowed from another discipline.
