e. References:
i. we recommend that you follow the style for references according to the PRS
or JPRAS format. Please be accurate and consistent with your format. Please
use “References” as the heading for your bibliography. (Further information
on references below).
ii. Referencing – Style, types of reference
1. The Harvard system : This is the ‘Name and Date’ system, so as you
write, within your text, insert the lead author’s name and year of
publication e.g. (Alexander et al., 2010). Then list the full references
at the end of your essay as a bibliography in alphabetical order e.g.
ALEXANDER, A.J., ALAM, D.S., GULLANE, P.J., LENGELE, B.G., &
ADAMSON, P.A. 2010. Arguing the ethics of facial transplantation.
Arch Facial Plast Surg, 12, 60-3.
2. The main thing to note is that references need to be consistent and
organised, all sources are referenced and that you use credible
sources for your information. So when addressing an evidencebased topic such as this for which there is ample scientific literature,
avoid using promotional websites, blogs or newspaper articles,
instead focusing on credible journal articles or publications.
