Presentation Project:
You are the Production Manager of a manufacturing company, and you are tasked in developing a master budget of all costs so that decisions can be made by management.
You are to develop the following:
(1) Identify a product, (2) develop the formulas for developing the product and the (3) manufacturing processes, (4) and estimate levels of sales and production
You must develop the following budgets:
- Production budget
- Purchases budget
- Personnel budget
- Direct labor budget
- Overhead budget
- Selling and administrative budget
- Capital budget
- Cash budget
You must also compare your total cost per unit to industry standards and convince the professor that your product process and numbers are efficient and probable to support the mission of the company’s profitability goals.
You have 5- 10 minutes to present your case. You must select a 3-member board of directors who will accept or reject your proposal. I will chair this board and you need to give the names of two of your peers to participate. You cannot have contact prior to the presentation with your peers. They must sign an affidavit that says that they have not received prior information before the meeting.
Clarifications on the assignment can be made only during the regular board meetings – 10 minutes prior to class ending each time.
