TOPIC: In the second section of our course, we have been looking at applied issues in ethics. We have consider such topics as Global Justice, Equality and Discrimination, Sexual Morality, Abortion, Euthanasia, Punishment and the Death Penalty, and Animal Ethics. What I want you to do in this final essay is choose a side in one of these debates. Your paper will have four parts: (1) You will lay out the debate and the sides of the debate, and you will introduce the side for which you are going to argue. (2) Consider then the best arguments for your side and lay them out clearly, coherently, and persuasively. (3) Consider the one best argument against your view. Your grade will deeply depend on providing this argument well. (4) Answer this argument and give your best response to it.
I picked Sexual Morality
and have been working on a paper about the metoo movement arguing that
"yes means yes"
my idea was that so many women say yes or lead on a situation thinking they will get something and then turn around and say it was all the man's fault. I am a 40 something female and just tired of all the women who are making a big deal out of things that when i was 20 years old were just "life". A few articles I read inspiring my thoughts. I'm not sure that is a good thesis to argue because it is an opinion? Maybe a better ETHICS SEXUAL MORALITY would be Morality vs. Law?
Some of these people are getting shamed and fired but have not done anything ILLEGAL? legal age limit is 18 years old for men and women. Does this age limit come from the thought that a person can legally get a job and support a family if they have a child? Is that why the legal age limit to have sex is 18?
