  In this paper, you will be researching "social deviance" from a historical and current perspective. You will discuss what was and is "deviant behavior" and examine how it has changed and evolved over time. In the final third of this paper, you will respond to questions that I have outlined below that speak directly to the difference between social deviance and individual difference and how we can de-stigmatize individual and group differences on a societal level. According to research, historically, how has social deviance been defined? According to research, currently, how is social deviance defined? Do you believe that our society has transcended or made improvement in what it deems deviant?
