Somatic syndrome disorder

  Focus on a Somatic Syndrome Disorder (SSD) bipolar disorder from a bio psychosocial perspective. You need to focus on the SSD from both a professional and personal Perspective adding in theory of social construction. 1 Demonstrate critical understanding Somatisation, Somatic Syndrome Disorder (SSD) and the impact on individual health and wellbeing from a biopsychosocial perspective. 2 Critically appreciate theoretical models and theories associated with SSD from a health and social care perspective. 3 Apply knowledge and suggest future developments to tackle inequalities in Health and Social Care related to individuals with a specific SSD discussed in the module. 4 Collate, examine and critically evaluate theoretical and empirical information. Described as both a clinical and public health concern, issues affecting Health and social Care from a socioeconomic perspective will be of interest along with the Doctor – patient relationship, stigma, diagnosis and treatment.
