what went wrong:
Diagnosed with ADHD hyperactive and exams anxiety.
1. After half of the quarter taking cardiology, i found out that i needed to utilize the
accommodations that the school wanted to provide to me, even though i didn’t want to have extra
advantage over my peers.
2. Therefore, i used it in the second half of the quarter for my first nephrology exams and it
showed an improvement in my grade after talking to Dr. Newsome.
3. During the break, we had opportunity to review for the cardiology re-exams. I showed a lot of
competence verbally to Dr. Gabriel on the materials that she couldn’t even believe i failed the
exams. This happened because i think the examination questions were not clearer to me as a student
in which the head of the department Dr. O’Neil made it clear that he would in the future help
prepare me for a free response exams. I thought i prepared well and spent my break in knoxville to
prepare for the re-exams and attended all the review sessions and also studied with a study group.
The sadness of failing to perform well after all the work i placed in preparing caused a lot of
mental breakdown, causing my failure in the nephrology exams. I passed both classes, but failed due
to the inability to make the average in the both two exams in cardiology and nephrology.
Plan to change it:
1. Decided to stay at CVS in knoxville and acquire more knowledge with my pharmacist, also since he
is a South college preceptor.
2. Stronger support group since my roommate from the university of Georgia is in the p1 class and
would have a study partner.
3. Decision to schedule meets to address my weakness with Dr. Gabriel( cardiology) and Dr. Potter(
Nephorlogy) and also plan assessments with her to make sure i can address those weakness before i
comeback. Also schedule once a month or based on their availability to work on my weakness in the
subject area.
4. Also attain notes from my previous classmates to work on the materials for future classes.
5. Work with the Pass program like i’ve been working with when i receive any low grade.
6. Quarter grades are 3 A’s , B and those failed causes since i couldn’t make the average even
though my grade book indicates Passes for both.
7. Also make use of the accommodations provided by the school.
8. Plan my well for the program.
