      Research Writing Assignment (Addressing the Needs of Older Adults) For this assignment, you are tasked with choosing an aging issue (e.g., changing demographics, issues related to long-term care, COVID-19 problems, etc.), conducting research on the issue, and discussing a policy that may address that issue. You may choose a policy that has been recently enacted or a recently-proposed policy. The policy may be regional, state, or national in scope (e.g., it can address your chosen aging issue in a small community, or more broadly address the issue at the state or national level), and it should be designed to meet a need of the aging population. In your paper, you will need to discuss how the policy or proposed policy would meet such a need and what barriers there are to its enactment (including political considerations).
