The mean (±SD) energy intake per day using the 3 day food record was 7601.1(±2685.6) kJ. The greatest percentage of daily energy intake was carbohydrate, 44.4 (±9.5) %, followed by fat, 30.4 (±7.2) % and protein, 21 (±6.5) %. Alcohol had the lowest percentage at 0.9 (±2.4) % of daily energy intake. The percentage of participants below, above and meeting the recommended intakes for macronutrients are outlined below (Table 1).
