Teaching philosophy

This assignment requires students to develop a philosophy statement designed to provide potential employers with an understanding of your beliefs about education, values, knowledge and skills you bring to your role as a professional educator and aspirations you hold as you seek employment in the profession.
Writing a philosophy statement:
A philosophy statement is usually succinct and includes your beliefs and values and your aspirations for teaching. A well written philosophy statement can provide evidence of your knowledge and stance as a professional educator. Students are advised to use the sub-headings of the professional standards’ domains; professional knowledge, professional practice and professional engagement as this will help to address a range of important areas within your philosophy statement.
