TEACHING PLAN & IMPLEMENTATION

Once you have identified your teaching topic, you will need to develop a plan for your teaching session. You will need to consider the domains of learning, basic learning principles (e.g., motivation, participation, developmental abilities, and environment) and basic teaching principles (e.g., instructional methods, approaches, language, teaching tools). Refer to chapter 26 in Kozier et al (2014) for further information.
Your teaching plan should be in the following sections:
• Learning needs • Teaching goals • Content to be covered • Specific teaching strategies (listed) • Rationale for each teaching strategy — your rationale section must include evidence (research) that you have considered the domains of learning and basic teaching and learning principles (with reference(s).
