The final stage of many research projects is for the researchers to communicate their results and findings coherently to their colleagues in the field. This is often
done in the form of a poster presentation, a PowerPoint presentation, or a published article. For the purposes of this course, you will end PSYC 217 by completing two
of these: a poster presentation (described in another document), and the published article (sort of…).

Formatting requirements:

Paper must be in APA format. Lab 5 is an introduction to this, as well as other sources such as the APA Publication Manual (6th Edition) available in the library, and
the Purdue OWL website: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.
Page limit for this paper is 5-7 pages, single sided, double-spaced, typed
Font restrictions: size 12, style Arial or Times New Roman (not Calibri)
At least 1-inch (2.54 centimetres) margins on all sides
Page limit will only include the body of the text (from Introduction to the end of your conclusion)
Title page, abstract, references, any appendices will not count towards page limit
Be sure to follow the guidelines and instructions given to you by your TF, and additional help you may find in the APA Publication Manual and/or the OWL website. They
will tell you what you should and shouldn’t write in each section of your research report.
