For the research paper you need to: (1) state and describe the topic/movement being addressed, (2)
consider the interplay between religion and its socio-historical, economic, and political context [How do
these mutually influence each other?], (3) consider theologically how study of this topic helps to better
understand American religious faith, and (4) provide a correlation between the topic being addressed and
contemporary American religious experience.
Papers should be double-spaced with 1” margins and 12-point font. Citations and bibliography can be APA
format but should include page numbers. Papers should be submitted in WORD (not as a PDF) so I can
use the “Track changes” feature to give feedback on them.
