Policy Analysis and Memo: Assume the role of someone trying to influence the making or implementation of an educational policy and prepare the following documents:
1. Policy Characteristics Checklist and Stakeholder Analysis Identify a specific educational policy in either the formation or implementation stage and create the following two tools of policy analysis: Policy Characteristics Checklist and Stakeholder Analysis. Guidance for utilizing these tools will be found in Brinkerhoff & Crosby, pp. 150-161. Please also refer to the samples attached.
2. Policy Memo (3-5 pages): Given what you learned from the Policy Characteristics Checklist and Stakeholder Analysis, assume the role of an identified stakeholder and craft a memo to a specific policymaker(s) or implementer(s) urging them to take action in your interest.
