Historians study the manifestations and effects of religious beliefs on people’s behavior. The major religions
that we studied this semester (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) infused their beliefs
into everyday life by establishing each of the following points in their respective belief systems. 1. Sacred
time. 2. Sacred space. 3. Sacred literature. 4. Artistic and cultural expressions. 5. Religious organizations.
Select TWO of these religions and provide specific examples of each of these five religious expressions for
both faiths.
The essay would be consisted like this:
- Begin with an introductory paragraph. Organize your essays in topical paragraphs.
- Use evidence to support your argument. Incorporate documentation from your readings and lectures.
- Why are your arguments important? Provide summaries or conclusions of your essays.
