Applying knowledge about biopsy- chology to a real-life problem. Apply 5 concepts that we have reviewed in this course to the solution of the problem.
A sequel to the Matrix trilogy is in the works, and you are part of the consulting team that will be helping the screenwriters making the science in this movie as realistic as possible. In this movie, the machines have created a new version of the Matrix, which can manipulate not only what sensory information people receive, but it can also manipulate activity in any brain area.
Explain to the screenwriters five new ways in which the machines could manipulate people’s reality in this new version of the Matrix, beyond simply showing people sensory information (visual, taste, smell, etc.). Include an explanation of the biological mechanisms involved in each case.
