You will carefully read and briefly research the article and reflect upon the accident using the knowledge topics centered around this workplace accident. Create a report on what you have learned about this incident and base it on what you have learned about OSHA. You need to identify the reasons for the accident, what are the events that led up to the accident, how it could have been prevented, the OSHA violations that were cited. You will research the employer’s violation history (if any) and explore the OSHA Field Operations Manual (FOM) to better understand why certain violations were assessed. You could elaborate on how employer’s knew about the hazard and didn’t proactively prevent it.
