The sun shines brightly as an old woman makes her way down a worn cobblestone path. Her back is bent, but her posture regal. An observer can easily tell that time and hardships have played heavily into her existence. Her life’s patterns have changed dramatically over the last several years.
You are a slave in the year 1855 in South Carolina, and you are chronicling your thoughts into a letter to your daughter to be opened after your passage.
