Individual research paper (CW)

You have to submit a 2000 word research paper. This research paper will be based on one of the research topics offered by the module leader. The research paper will be based on the analysis of a secondary data-set and the research paper has to demonstrate your capacity to use the SPSS statistical software. The paper needs to demonstrate your capacity to frame a research question, link this question to existing research on the topic, choose an appropriate form of statistical analysis for the question, to correctly analyse data to find an answer to your research question using the SPSS software.
1 Is the question amenable to analysis/possible to analyse given your data choices?
2 Does the paper clearly outline a conceptual model/hypothesis that is justified by a literature review?
3 Is the question conceptualised/operationalised in terms of secondary data?
4 To what degree does the paper demonstrate the capacity to manage data
5 Have you chosen the appropriate statistical analysis? Have you justified your choice?
6 Have you correctly carried out the secondary data analysis? Have you demonstrated you can use SPSS?
7 Do you come to conclusions that are reasonable and supported by secondary data-based analysis?
8 Is the paper written in a form of neatly presented coherent argument in recognisable standard English with Harvard referencing?
