The best distribution channels can be marketing via television, social media. Social media plays a very important role in educating people to aware them of the available opportunities. The emergency service my company provided already had established its grounds efficiently. It is completely out of question to state the need of a par class customer service in the emergency industry is not of prime importance. In fact I totally agree with you that the need for an up-to date efficient customer service unit becomes crucial in order to match up to the risk management. As it is catering the emergencies and crises therefore, the involvement of risk is always in question and this alone becomes an important reason to work on the solidarity grounds of effective quality assurance department ensuring the quality of customer service. What is the point if I want to offer best services to the general masses but my employees are not happy with their jobs? Surely if they are offered any other job with better perks and salary they will leave their current jobs. Hence, I would ensure better packages. If I cannot immediately increase their salaries I would make relative increase in the salary and packages subject to the performance. A quarterly based increment of 10% of their salary would be provided and bonuses based on their work performance. This will keep them motivated.
The major distribution channels that Sundance Resort uses are physical location and the internet. I never knew that the resort even existed until I became employed there. Alot of there products are on the resort. Anything from skiing in the winter to hikings and theaters in the summer. You have to know where this place is so you can utilize it. The other channel that they use is the internet. Sundance utilizes the internet to product the products that they have such as discounts and sales. Now to go to my other job as a Crossfit Trainer. At the gym I work at everything has to do with that physical location. Many of the members that go to the gym heard about us but the word of mouth. This word of mouth distribution channel is how we get our revenue. In looking through the reading the book I don’t think you can put one distribution channel above another. Each channel is set up to be use for specific circumstances. Many companies who use the physical location may not use the mobile units. That doesn’t mean mobile units are important. Another example is telemarketers using the phone. They won’t necessarily use drive thrus to push their products out. Many companies need to keep in mind though what is the best way to get there products out to the customers. If your product does well at a physical location it might not do well over the phone.
