Women in Leadership

The film talks about the “glass ceiling” – meaningthat, since the early 1900s, there was only so far a woman could go in politics until she reached a barrier and was shut out of political leadership. Why? What answers does the film give throughout the documentary about what women faced in the male-dominated, male values-laden world of politics?

And why/how did each of these women help break through that barrier – Margaret Chase Smith, Shirley Chisholm, Anita Hill, and Hillary Clinton ??
