Order Description
You need not do any additional reading except as specified in the assignment or assigned in the course. However, you still must properly cite any ideas you use from the class readings. If you do outside reading, you should properly cite any sources as well. With respect to citation, you may use either full footnotes, or parenthetical references with a full bibliography. In either case, you should follow one of the generally accepted styles of academic citation.

“Democratic Enlargement” — the policy of helping the spread of democracy (even using military force in some cases) — has been the central tenet of American foreign policy over the last 20 years. This policy has been adopted by both Democratic and Republican administrations, though its most ardent proponents were the neoconservatives of the George W. Bush administration. Using the theoretical ideas discussed in the course so far, critically evaluate this policy. Do you think it was a good idea? Why or why not?
