- Identify a current challenge, room for improvement or need for further understanding in any
process, technology, policy or regulation related to air transport. - Describe it using a mix of words and relevant data (measures, indicators, ‘statistics’) supported in
equally relevant literature adequately referenced. - Develop one research question that synthesizes “the problem”.
- Propose a research design to tackle the question (i.e. to attempt to provide a satisfactory
answer): translate the research question into a research aim (singular, just one) and two to five
specific objectives, then describe a methodological approach to achieve the objectives and
research aim. - Gather a substantial data set (100+ records, 3+ variables) that relates to your research problem
(where possible, for at least two different dates). Describe the data using text and the measures
and visualisations you consider best suitable. - Propose a model that tries to explain relationships between at least two variables and perform
statistical analysis to test such relationships. Describe the process and the results.
