To calculate and estimate reliability (e,g internal consistency ) using bootstrapped split -half estimations for reaction times differences between IAT blocks. It means that R package splithalf (developed by Sam Parsons,2018).
Client: I changed my method by calculate Cronbach’s alpha of IAT . Maybe your new writer need to calculate by Cronbach’s alpha of IAT based on IAT datas on my research.
my research include two studies but both studies used IAT. Studies 1 include Japanese 20 in Hiroshima and 20 Tokyo students .I attached 40 excel files IAT raw datas and IAT D calculated scoring sheet with all 40 students
comments for the new writer
above files all are included in studies 1. I do not know how to calculate Cronbach’s alpha based on IAT raw datas or only IAT D score . So I sent both IAT raw datas and IAT`s D scored Sheet
When you calculate by Cronbach’s alpha of IAT, maybe you can calculate the correlation between D scores between first combination block and the second combination block) is easy.So you only use IAT scoring sheet for both two studies. You don’t need to use all students IAT raw data’s. So only you need two scoring sheets. First scoring sheet include 40 students for studies 1and second scoring sheet include 60 students for studies 2.
“Calculation of internal consistencies
There exist various ways for calculating internal consistencies of IAT D measures. Some compute difference scores for every single trial of the combined blocks and treat them as separate items to calculate Cronbach’s internal consistency alpha, some employ difference scores for blocks of 5, 10, 20, or more trials, some calculate split-half reliabilities over blocks with identical number of trials, and some over blocks with different numbers of trials. In order to control for response changes during completion of the IAT, odd-even like estimates may be more useful than block-wise estimates (cf. Schmukle and Egloff, 2006). Procedures that calculate internal consistency estimates over more than two subblocks may result in slightly higher scores, although this has not been systematically investigated. The stan- dard procedure calculates split-half reliabili- ties over the difference scores of Block 6/3 and Block 7/4”. I just copy pasted above explanation about how to calculate Cronbach’s internal consistency alpha for combined blocks.it is very useful source to use it.
