discussion question
Laguilles et al. (2011) also discuss the use of a lottery incentive to boost survey response rates among college student respondents. What are the various types of incentives a researcher could use to increase response rates among student populations? Of these, what is particularly appealing about the lottery incentive option — not only to the potential student respondents, but also to the researcher? Would any incentive work to increase response rates among faculty or staff populations that might have been useful to Ruihley et al.?
