Pick a (non-US) director or filmmaking tradition (or more than one) that you are drawn to, and start researching them. See more films by that person/in that style, read two articles or one or two books on them. Turn in a 4 to 5-page analysis that examines closely any two sequences from their film that illustrates: how and why this filmmaking tradition/filmmaker is important (historically and stylistically); what is compelling in this sequence; why?
