Your task is to strategically analyse a voluntary sector organisation for which you are able to access publicly-available information in support of the points you make in the assignment. You must write a paper of 2,000 words (±10%, excluding references / appendices) covering the following:
¥ Carry out (and show) a thorough macroenvironmental analysis of the relevant industry or industry sector;
¥ Carry out (and show) a thorough competitive analysis of the relevant industry or industry sector;
¥ On the basis of the above analysis, extrapolate and describe in detail the three external factors which are most likely to require the organisation to adapt its strategy in future; and justify why they are likely to do so (i.e. what is the likelihood of them affecting the organisation, how, and to what extent).

All of your analysis must be original (i.e. your own work, not existing strategic analysis reproduced from elsewhere). Your macroenvironmental and competitive analyses must be provided in appendices (i.e. they are not included in your word count). The main body of your paper should be used for the identification, description and discussion of the three key external drivers of strategic change.
Ideas should be expressed clearly and succinctly. Logical analysis and discussion will be rewarded.
