Choose one example of visual culture and discuss the impact of postmodernism on representations of identity

The essay should revolve around the discussions of how postmodernism has affected the representations of identity through visual culture.
The example of visual culture can be a specific image that has affected representation of identity (Feminism, Racism, Culture etc.)

The introduction – include the main gist of the essay and what is to be discussed. You can also include the definitions of postmodernism and the “representation of identity” to give a clearer picture

Body – Discuss which aspects or elements of postmodernism can be found in the image and how it affects the representation of identity. Go as in depth as possible. You can also include quotes on different aspects of postmodernism and explain how it gives perspective to the image and how it interprets the image chosen. (discuss the relationship between the quotes and the image.)
Try to stick to discussing only one representation of identity and go as in depth as possible. Always refer to the image.

Conclusion – Not a repetition of the content, more like winding up. According to my professor, “The conclusion should tell us where does this leave us in the context of postmodernism”

You may include another image/example only if it’s super relevant or for comparison purposes. But try to stick to only one image.
