1. Scenario: The FDU student government and administration will fund a start up entrepreneurial venture proposed by the students. The guidelines are:
– The business/service must benefit the FDU community
– The business/service can be designed to be either for profit or not for profit
– The business/service must be based on the Metro Campus
– The organization will provide a start-up budget of $5,000 as well as limited on-campus space (a small office, classroom, meeting room or space in the SUB or Jeepers, for example)
2. write a proposal for a business or service that can be started with $5,000 budget and allocated space.
3. Your informal proposal should be 6 pages in length and must include:
– background or introduction and conclusion
– a description of your proposed business and its products/services
– a market analysis/projection of use (you may conduct focus groups, distribute surveys/questionnaires, traffic counts or similar observations to support your market analysis)
-an operations and staffing plan
-a basic budget including projected revenues and expenses
-a request for funding
