In your review, you should discuss only one of these experiences (Bourgeois and Maurice, the cabaret) and not every aspect of the experience. You should focus on the effect the experience had on you, and how you think that effect was created. You should try to apply ideas about medium genre, subtext, and context introduced in class discussions. You might also adapt or paraphrase other points which came up in class.
The review should take the form of an informal academic essay; it should have a thesis statement, and a clear three-part structure [introduction, development, conclusion]. It should support generalizations with specific observed evidence. It should be written clearly, precisely, and idiomatically. It may incorporate quotations, but they should always be attributed in a note to the original author; and they should be fully integrated into a text which is largely in your own words. It should be carefully proofread and attractively, helpfully presented.
